A message from the Corbettlist - 19 September 2011

From: leiderman@mindspring.com

Dear Readers:

Calling your attention to blatant, inaccurate and misleading headlines from major news media concerning the Haitian cabinet confirmation process. Whether by intention or ignorance, and/or Palace approval or acquiescence, the result is the same: habitual exaggeration ruins credibility.

Thank you,

Stuart Leiderman

Jafrikayiti notes: At the time of this exchange, only the lower chamber of Haiti's parliament endorsed the nomination of Garry Conille as Prime Minister. He has yet to face the Haitian Senate whose approval he must receive in order to be ratified. But, given the perception that Conille was handpicked by his current employer Bill Clinton - who is said to hold more power in Haiti than elected Haitian officials - Conille is expected to pass, although he blatantly fails to meet the basic requirements of the Haitian Constitution - such as article 157-5 which requires a nominee to the post of Prime Minister to have legal residency in the country for the 5 preceding and consecutive years.

Leiderman is correct in pointing out the inaccurate and misleading headlines concerning the ratification of Gary Conille. This pattern of forcing the desires of the foreign puppet masters on Haiti by preparing public opinion is not new. During the fake elections organized by the "blan" last year, we experienced the same. While Haitian media was banned from publishing partial results or exit poll stats - foreign media were free to announce "results" before they became available - preparing public opinion to accept as "elections" the debacle where only right wing puppets were allowed to participate. Haitian media complaints about the differential treatment accorded to the foreign press were simply ignored.

Eventually, most people forgot that the whole "elections" thing was a sham.

When Haitians, based on facts observed in Mirebalais accurately pointed to the U.N. as culprits who brought Cholera to Haiti, the major news media consistently presented the viewpoint of the foreign overseers of Haiti - denial, denial, denial! I personally exposed Radio-Canada's shameful contribution to this chorus.

Eventually when foreign "experts" end up repeating what the Haitians have tried to denounce all along, 6500 deaths later....some are willing to consider that perhaps the Haitians were right all along. Now, as "President" Micky goes to the U.N. this morning, will he have the courage to demand REPARATIONS for the victims of MINUSTAH-KOLERA-KADEJAKÈ? - fat chance! I am willing to bet, the selected puppet will instead ask for a renewal of the MINUSTAH mandate - never mind this was actually decided and announced before he asked. Meanwhile Haitians demonstrating in front of the U.N. offices demanding withdrawal of the illegal and criminal foreign troops will simply not make the headlines....Sweet MIKI will ! Afterall, this was the point of the 2010 selections.
