|Sujet: Is The bicameral Congress still necessary to govern a country? Jeu 13 Déc 2012 - 13:22|| |
It is obvious to all americans that the Republicans party represent the rich people, and their complaints about the President 's refusal to compromise are lies. This morning I read the Fuhrer Boehner 's latest proposal to the President to solve the fiscal crisis:he wants the taxe break for the rich to be permanent. If we had any doubt about what the Republican party represents now we know.
We must mobilize our people to change the Congress in 2014.The Government can not function anymore with a Republican majority in the lower Chamber of Congress and a progressive President in the White house. It is not enough to elect a President who is fighting for the people ,we must give him a majority in both chambers of the Congress. This bicameral Congress is an aberration .We should amend the Constitution to have only one Chamber. The bicameral Congress doesn't make the government more efficient. It is a waste of money.
I know the politicians in Washington will never amend the Constitution to abolish their jobs and their fringe benefits. However , we, the people, must tell them we will no longer tolerate this dysfunctional government. They must get their acts together to deal with the problems that need immediate solutions. That is why they get paid good money to solve our problems.Nothing is static on this earth. We must not sacralize any institution or Constitution when it is obvious it is no longer effective. The time has come for us to amend the Constitution of the United States in order for the government to be more effective. We can not afford to waste 4 more years of dysfunctional government in Washington D.C.Power to the people. We don't need a plutocracy.
