"You must love those you lead before you can be an effective leader. You can certainly command without that sense of commitment ,but you can not lead without it.And without leadership ,command is a hollow experience ,a vacuum filled with mistrust and arrogance."General Shinseki
I applaud President-elect Obama's choice for Secretary of Veterans affairs:General Shinseki is the right man at the right place. Not only he is a very courageous leader, but he is wise.So far The president -elect has shown he is wiser than his age.Obama has shown how wrong his critics of being elitist are.If the choices of his cabinet are indications of his priorities ,I am very optimistic about the new administration that will take over in January.
The cabinet so far reflects a diversity that is seldom shown in Washington ,D.C.Even The Clinton's cabinet did not show such deversity and competence. If president Obama can lead these men and women with the right policies I am certain the economy will recover sooner than later.Obama will show once and for all that those who misjudged his "race" have only their underdeveloped mind to blame.
